VIDEO: Break the Chill | Painting Process

Hello Moonbeams,

Here is the part two bonus video I promised as an extra tidbit to go with my recent livestream.

This is along the lines of the videos I usually post to my $5 tier but I wanted to give you this extra tidbit since the livestream had so many issues <3

Tools

Surface: Custom mdf panel with one coat Daniel Smith Titanium White watercolor ground and one topcoat of QoR watercolor ground (the regular variety)

Paint: Daniel Smith Carbazole Violet,  Daniel Smith Prussian Blue,  Daniel Smith Burgundy Yellow Ochre, Daniel Smith Opera Pink, Daniel Smith Bright Red, Grumbacher Thalo Blue, Daniel Smith Pthalo Green

Brushes:  Various synthetic brushes including 20/0 Princeton Spotter brush, and Winsor and Newton synthetic Sable 000 Sceptre Gold II, Sakura Waterbrushes, size small, 13 Royal and Langnickel flat brush

People mentioned in this video who have great examples of melding areas of high detail, with more “flat” graphic shapes

Allen Williams

Stephanie Law

Charles Vess  I absolutely love how this artist uses texture, melding less detailed areas, such as those on the trees, with super high details.  One of my favorites!
