VIDEO: Painting Silky Fur

Hello my Moons,

The reference for the dog came from my good friend Laura Garabedian who is also an amazing artist! 

 

Tools

Surfaces: Acid free book board with one coat of Daniel Smith Titanium White watercolor ground and a topcoat of QoR watercolor ground.  Additional Daniel Smith ground was added for texture around the  dog. 

Paint: My "Shadow Shade" which I use as black and grey made of  Daniel Smith Prussian Blue, , Daniel Smith Carbazole Violet, Daniel Smith Burgundy Yellow Ochre,  and some Prussian Blue on its own, as well as  Pearl Ex pigments Aztec Gold, 

Brushes:  Various synthetic brushes including Black Swan, Royal & Langnickel 13mm flatbrush, 0/12 Princeton Velvetouch spotter, and 20/0 Princeton Velvetouch Spotter
