Hello Moonbeams,
Here is a recap talk about my experience at WhimsyCon a couple of weeks ago along with footage I recorded of my live painting session This was not a painting demo with instruction, I was merely painting as “ambience” for the people attending the rather epic tea party.
I did not get to capture a very good photo of the final piece because I had to hand it off for a charity auction but I had so much fun working on it! I really enjoy live painting. :)
I tried to record the panels I was on but the sound was so atrocious that I could not keep it. I will try to plan better for that in the future and bring equipment to record that is not just a phone. That being said, I have sooo much inspiration for things to talk about now during my “Waxing Moon Sessions” videos. I might start asking you to vote more so I can focus on one thing at a time, otherwise I will try to do it all at once! Speaking of polls, it looks like April's tutorial will be on small details and I am very excited about that! I will also be posting a little video on how I prep my surfaces with the mixture of watercolour grounds I prefer which a lot of people have been curious about.
Enjoy the video and take care of yourself! <3
