I’ve followed you forever, I’ve known your insides

We’ll tame the horizon of the cosmos we ride

Those familiar with my work will likely recognise the veiled unicorn, a recurring character who often reminds us of the haze we're putting before our eyes in order to keep from facing whatever's on the other side. In this piece, I wanted to pair the unicorn with his “human” self, a young man I’ve known in many forms through my own dreams for almost two decades. The idea of two forms of one being moving together, but separate, intrigues me. Whether you believe in the conscience, spiritual guides, or muses, sometimes looking to parts of yourself with a certain objective mind, as if seeing a friend, can help you move through the most confusing of life’s mysteries.
