You Can't Kill the Stars - Original drawing
This listing is for the original drawing You Can’t Kill the Stars
You’ve clung to the dead, yet awaited rebirth
Move onward, my dear, stop lashing your scars
You’ve no place on those grounds, let them go, leave the earth
Whenever will you learn that you can’t kill the stars?
Sometimes we may find ourselves fighting for the things that no longer serve us. Unhappy though we may be, we stubbornly hold to the illusion of what we once thought was important in that place between knowledge and wisdom. We listen to our loud selves rather than tuning into the softer whispers of the universe around us. And when those whispers grow to a roar, we lash out at them, desperate to stave off change though longing for something better. But we can’t destroy ultimate truths, we can only deny them until they come clawing down from the cosmos to meet us and what will we do then?
